Step back in time on the Historical Victoria Falls Bridge Tour and discover the fascinating story behind one of Africa’s most iconic engineering landmarks.

Built in 1905 as part of Cecil John Rhodes’ ambitious “Cape to Cairo” railway vision, the Victoria Falls Bridge remains one of the most historic and strategically important bridges on the continent. During this guided walking tour, guests learn about the bridge’s construction, colonial history, railway expansion and its role in connecting Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Led by a knowledgeable local guide, the tour includes access to selected parts of the bridge structure (subject to security clearance), where guests can view original engineering details, historical photographs and enjoy breathtaking views of the Batoka Gorge and the Zambezi River below.

Guests also gain insight into the bridge’s modern-day role as the home of world-famous adrenaline activities such as bungee jumping and gorge swinging.

This is an educational and scenic experience, ideal for history enthusiasts, photographers and travellers seeking a deeper understanding of Victoria Falls beyond wildlife and adventure.
